The EPA denied CA's waiver request to cut greenhouse gas emissions from automobiles.

This is the first time EPA has ever denied a waiver request under the Clean Air Act. It is not based on science or the law and is a major blow to our efforts to cut global warming pollution from cars.

California and 17 other states had taken action to limit global warming pollution from automobiles. Instead of supporting these efforts, the EPA is standing in the way.
