Each year Californians use 19 billion plastic bags. Those bags end up in landfills or in the ocean, threatening our beaches, wildlife and human health.
The Plastic Bag Litter Reduction Act (AB 2058) would reduce the use of plastic bags throughout the state. But this historic bill is currently stalled in the California Senate.
